    Contact Shorts that Work as Hard as You Do

    I have always maintained a rigorous regimen when I try gear out. Better construction than some of the garments I have from the, “ahem” big names, the labels that you see at every gym.

    JC ATHLETIC CONTACT SHORTS:  Expectations exceeded.

    100% polyester fabric might frighten some off, being that polyester has, especially in athletic wear, has not been the nicest of fabrics to endure. Whether it be from friction or just being too wet against the skin, polyester of the past has not been kind to us.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”2em” alter_height=”none” hide_on_desktop=”” hide_on_notebook=”” hide_on_tablet=”” hide_on_mobile=””][vc_message message_box_color=”green” icon_fontawesome=”fas fa-leaf”]

In fact, the inside of these shorts feels like soft fleece.

    Zero pilling and the fabric remains soft and feels good on my jock-strapped ‘behind’; whether I am sweaty after a workout or I have been sitting at my desk working on projects for hours on end.

    These shorts have gone with me all day from the time I wake up until I lounge in front of the television.

    For someone that prefers to be nude at home; I think this statement carries some weight worth noting.

    The number one feature that make these shorts so truly versatile, is the zippered pockets. One problem when one is nude at home, and either doing chores, tasks or working; where to you keep your phone?

    My phone has become my doorbell, the remote control for my TV, music, lights, climate control and once in a super blue moon, I make a phone call. But also, my phone is often required for 2 Factor Authorization. Dropping my phone in my pockets as a walk from one work station to the other; means I am not dropping my phone on the floor.

    Further, I can drop my keys, credit card in the pocket and not worry that they won’t be there when I get back home. When we are back at the gym, be sure your important items stay zipped up in your pocket with you.

    Extra detailing includes the back panel for full “butt highlighting” as well as safety feature of reflective logo and text on the shorts. Super versatile and available in sizes small to double extra large, and in colours; black, heather grey, red and blue.

    Which brings us to the Camo. Regardless of the pattern, blues and drab olive camo bring these clever nostalgic fabrics to life. But these Camo pieces remind me of the undies I was so jealous of that the other boys had while I was wearing boring old white. (Don’t @ me — I know!) :wink

    While you are tracing your steps, you are looking down on the side-walk. Am I right?

    Well therein lies the argument people make the second you take some poor person’s soggy mitten out of the puddle on the side-walk and hang it over the fence or put it on top of the mail box or some where that it might have some hope of being in a better place than a puddle.

    But not like down the street or anything; like just right there. Just not in “harm’s way”.

    “They are going to be looking down! Not up there for their mitten!”

    What is going on here?

    1. Has someone dropped their reading glasses and another person has found them and put them here; thinking that at the very least the glasses won’t be stepped on?
    2. Is someone REALLY trying to make the point that the button is for the audible signal only and pushing the button repeatedly and complaining will not cause the light to change for crossing.

    Anyway, if anyone is missing their reading glasses and these look familiar. This is the NW corner of Queen and Church.

    For those of you that are still reading, everything went fine with the check up. Everything that needed to be addressed has been and the rest can wait for a time when there are less risks.

    The electronic artist fell in love with Venn’s song ‘They Come for You’ and asked to put her own spin on it. The result is the Elisabeth Elektra Remix (released everywhere 14 May 2021) that gives “great 80’s synth power pop vibes” (Track By Track Podcast), highlighting the important message of the song.

    Venn Smyth’s lyrics were inspired by the post-war poem by Martin Niemöller “First they came…”.

    It is very much music with a message for today.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=””]Elisabeth Elektra’s remix of Venn’s work is not the only one to come from Glasgow.

    Last year, Glasgow based DJ Ben Howell shot to online fame and then quickly the radio airwaves with his mash-up of Dua Lipa’s ‘Hallucinate’ and the BBC News Theme. His next project was to create a summer-ready bop of a remix for Venn.

    Both tracks will form part of a remix version of his EP ‘Build This House Again’ which Venn is to release over the coming months, working with other independent queer artists. He has also started writing new material with his new-found online music community, and will be releasing these collaborations later in the year.

(Strangely enough you will find EVERYONE lives in the area that has the OPPOSITE weather to what they prefer. Go figure.)

    Now, we have had some recent weekends of decent weather and some with, less than stellar weather and those were your weekends to install your Air Conditioning Units (ACU). If you have not done so by now, myself included, it is too late. THE POOL IS CLOSED.

    We all know that the second any one of us thinks of putting that ACU in, just quick, and we will end up with 5cm of snow on the ground and all of your pretty flower beds are gonna be shit.

    So, we either have to skip it this year and suffer in the heat, with a fan and an iced beverage; or, all pick a day, make one big effort to get all the dormant ACU in place and then all brace, duck and cover for a freak snow storm.

Ate the ice cream, it made me happy. All was normal.

    Then a couple days later my mate that lives upstairs messages me on his way home from his essential work. He plans on stopping at the market on the way and asks if there is anything he can pick up for me that I need, which he could drop off.

    He offers 2 suggestions;

    1. Doritos
    2. Ice Cream

    That was it, that was all I wanted. I thought that was done.

    But in another message I included an image, you see above, of the ice cream that was ALREADY in my freezer.

    What I meant by that is, “Look! Fatboy already has enough ice cream thanks!”

    What he understood was, “This is also the ice cream I want!”

    Now I have 2 tubs of ice cream in my freezer. I had to throw a way an old bag of frozen peas to make room. (Rest In Peas)

    Seems Karma found me and doubled me up like I said. #facepalm

    I am brainstorming for my next punishment.
