I had the opportunity to take out a <<LEASE>> on an Origin Jumpworks 135c. I was hooked after my luck chance with obtaining an Origin 85x just the week prior. That short flight from Lorville to ARC L1 in the 85x, really changed a lot of things for me.

Hopefully, setting me in an exciting direction!

I included an image of myself, picking up my new Origin 135c.

I decided to NOT take the act of delivering my small ship into one of the largest hangar decks available, as a metaphor for how small I will be in the expanse of The Verse.

Reference Check: This is the same hangar deck that the Aegis Reclaimer is serviced and parked in. That ship is bigger than a building.

Yet, here is little me spooling up to see what adventures and successes await.

It was not long during my first flight in my 85x, until the gears and conduits in my brain started to pump and churn. I started realizing that some of the “if only this little ship had [fill in the blank]” scenarios we beginning to manifest.

Fully admit, I made a hasty purchase for fun, with some extra credits I suddenly had available. I am quite sure, if I had taken the time to do my research I would have chosen to work a few extra days to gain the capital in order to secure a 135c lease, before the new regulations take effect.

Furthermore, I am having a blast with my Drake Interplanetary Cutter and I thought I had my expansion plan, for the new regulations, already all figured out.

Perhaps, I was a bit premature in thinking so.

Origin 135c during Quantum Travel

My business model is built on versatility. I feel the ability to adapt to situations is key to success.

Looking back at my family history, I begin to see there maybe something in my DNA still to this day, that roots itself in the versatility an independent person would need in the universe frontier.

The Origin 135c pulled out ahead from my experience with the Titan Avenger with the side door/stairs access.

Once the Titan rear cargo hold is carrying cargo, the back cargo door is no longer a viable access point to embark or disembark.

This leaves the ladder into the cockpit as only way to enter the Titan Avenger. A feat one is unable to do whilst carrying any item.

No box deliveries while carrying commodities. No last minute, “while you are here, could you take…” scenarios. Whereas I was more likely able to say yes while I was operating with my Drake Cutter.

Out of reach places are easy reachable for the Origin 135c

Yes. There is a step down from 8SCU cargo space available in the Titan Avenger to just 6SCU (2 internal 4 external) in the Origin 135c.

I also prefer the privacy of the “Habitation Cabin” in the Titan over the 135c; yet neither of these 2 come close to my Drake Cutter, which completes the Habitation Cabin with a shower and a toilet. Both lacking in the Avenger and 135c.

Just about in every circumstance I have been able to exercise in the last 2 weeks, I have been able to create more revenue for my business by doubling up on Courier Box Deliveries and running Commodity Cargo at the same time, while operating the Origin 135c. Just like a have been doing with my Cutter as well as when I have rented a Cutlass Black.

The 135c also offers a step up from my Drake Cutter in the defence department. Not everyone has honest intentions and the wide-expanse of the Verse means you need to be able to take care of yourself.

My Cutter is no pushover and is very good at handling itself when the bullies come around; however the 135c sizes up on missiles and weapon hard-points – which has resulted in being able to dispatch threats quicker and return to my task at hand.

Looking over the Origin 135c

I will be making space in my hangar for an Origin 135c to join my new fleet once we move ahead with the 3-8Teen Regulations.

Able to fit into tight spaces, able to carry itself in a fight, versatile. A solid addition to FLEET 13.

Now, to add to the mix, a fellow member of The Lemonade Syndicate, mate and fellow independent business person let me take their new Drake Mule out for a spin.

They graciously offered me a choice to drive; Cyclone or Mule. Even more gracious, they did not flinch when I jumped into the Mule; though I am pretty sure they wanted first spin. (I will make it up somehow.)

Perhaps the Drake Mule will be the first addition to the fleet to assist me further in Bunker and Security Post deliveries; then secure an Origin 135c to split my day’s task up. Build up from there and add a couple Cutlass ‘brothers’ to the mix; a Black and a Red, perhaps?

Cannot really say for certain right now; because nothing is fully certain with the new regulations; the best way to be prepared is to learn as much as I can and make informed decisions.

My favourite Aunt always said, “Knowledge is Power!” – she also said, “olives take up too much room in a martini glass” so you can do with that what you will.
