Invictus Sneak Peek – MULE Spotting!
On my way out of Area18, a few days ago, I stopped to check out the teaser set-up for Drake Defensecon 2953, at Area18’s Riker Memorial Spaceport. I was on my way to Lorville, to take delivery of our first Drake MULE in The Lemonade Syndicate and Premium Air Transport fleet.
You will learn, when you take a look at that photo log entry, that the trip did not go as planned. Not the start off to a few days away on missions that I was looking forward to.
While I was away, a very good buddy of mine sent me a message to meet up with him for a sneak peek at the Invictus Week set up at the Bevic Centre. No way I was going to turn that offer down.
I was excited to return to Area18, run back to my apartment, clean up and then head off to the Bevic Centre and take an almost behind the scenes look at the set up.
Not many displays are installed yet. Still a lot of infrastructure to be installed – and I can not tell you that much, but I can tell you this.
- The colour theme they have chosen this year is “navy with gold highlights” 😉
- The CityFlight transit is ON point! Do be sure to read the signage when possible.
- Be sure to grab a souvenir t-shirt!
- It is going to be a lot of fun!
